Contemporary Artworks is a limited liability company organized under the laws of the State of Ohio.

By using this website or purchasing from Contemporary Artworks, you agree to these terms.

Contemporary Artworks may update these terms from time to time. The terms posted on the website at the time of use or purchase apply to that use or purchase, subject to applicable law.

Artwork, Intellectual Property, and Commercial Use

Artwork, images, text, design, brand materials, and archive content shown on this website are owned by or licensed to Contemporary Artworks or Robert R. Lackney.

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, sell, publish, scrape, train AI models on, extract data from, or otherwise commercially use site content — including for resale, merchandising, promotional use, or derivative products — without written permission from Contemporary Artworks.

Purchasing a print does not transfer copyright, reproduction rights, licensing rights, image rights, or rights to create derivative works.

Product Information

Contemporary Artworks works to present product titles, images, dimensions, materials, pricing, and availability accurately.

Product pages control the specific details of each available work, including title, size, paper/material, framed or unframed status, price, and availability.

Unless a product page states otherwise, prints are sold unframed. Product images, room views, or mockups may show framing for scale or presentation, but framing is included only when the product page explicitly says it is included.

Orders

Submitting an order means you are offering to purchase the selected product under the terms shown at checkout.

Contemporary Artworks may refuse, cancel, or limit orders where there is a pricing error, product setup error, suspected fraud, payment issue, shipping restriction, inventory or availability issue, or other operational problem.

If an order is canceled after payment, Contemporary Artworks will issue any required refund through the original payment method where possible.

Payment, Taxes, and Shipping

Payment, tax, shipping, and checkout services are handled through Shopify and related payment and shipping providers.

Shipping rates, taxes, duties, and available destinations may vary. International customers may be responsible for customs duties, taxes, brokerage fees, or import charges unless Shopify checkout states that those charges are collected at checkout.

Returns and Damaged Orders

Returns, refunds, cancellations, damaged orders, defective orders, and incorrect orders are governed by the Refund policy and Shipping policy.

Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Contemporary Artworks is not responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the site, delay, product unavailability, third-party services, or shipping-provider issues.

Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be limited under applicable law.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of this website shall be resolved in the courts of Ohio.
