Refund policy
Contemporary Artworks sells fine-art prints on a made-to-order basis unless a product page states otherwise. Because each print is produced for the order, returns and cancellations must be handled carefully.
Cancellations
If you need to cancel an order, email Contemporary Artworks as soon as possible at ca@contemporaryartworks.org.
Cancellation may be possible before production begins. Once production or fulfillment has started, cancellation is not available.
Returns
Because each print is made to order, return requests are reviewed case by case within 30 days after delivery rather than treated as automatic buyer-remorse returns. We understand that artwork can feel different in person than it does on a screen.
To request a return review, email Contemporary Artworks at ca@contemporaryartworks.org within 30 days after delivery.
Returned prints must be in original condition and returned in protective packaging. Unless the print arrived damaged, defective, incorrect, or applicable law requires otherwise, return shipping costs are the customer's responsibility.
Contemporary Artworks does not offer exchanges for buyer preference. A change of mind alone does not guarantee a return, but we will review good-faith concerns about the artwork, condition, or order experience.
Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Orders
If a print arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, email Contemporary Artworks promptly at ca@contemporaryartworks.org.
Please include:
- order number,
- delivery date,
- photographs of the artwork,
- photographs of the packaging,
- a short description of the issue.
Keep the artwork and packaging until the claim is reviewed. Contemporary Artworks or its production partner may require inspection or return of the damaged item before a refund or replacement can be completed.
When a damaged, defective, or incorrect order is confirmed, Contemporary Artworks will work toward an appropriate resolution, which may include replacement, refund, or another remedy required by law. This damage/defect process is separate from buyer-preference exchanges.
Color and Image Variation
Contemporary Artworks works to present artwork as accurately as possible. Color, value, texture, and scale may vary between screens and physical prints. Minor screen-to-print variation is not automatically considered a defect.
